Stacked cardboard moving boxes waiting in an empty, bright room

Careful movers, fixed written quotes

We move your home like it still has to feel like one.

Copper Field Movers handles house and office moves end to end — surveying, packing, carrying and setting rooms back up. One crew stays with your job from the first box to the last, so nothing gets explained twice.

Services

Three ways we usually work

Most jobs fall into one of these. If yours sits somewhere in between, describe it in the quote form and we will scope it properly.

Home moves

Flats, terraces and family houses, moved in a single day wherever the load allows.

  • Furniture dismantled and rebuilt
  • Beds reassembled before we leave
  • Boxes placed in the right rooms

Office relocations

Studios and small offices moved over an evening or weekend so Monday starts on time.

  • Desks and storage labelled by seat
  • Screens and cables crated together
  • Floor plan agreed before move day

Packing & unpacking

Full or partial packing, including the kitchen and wardrobes nobody wants to face.

  • Fragile items double wrapped
  • Rooms labelled inside and out
  • Packing materials taken away after

How it works

What move day actually looks like

No guessing on the morning. You get a plan, a time and a crew who have already seen the access at both ends.

  1. Survey

We walk both properties, on site or over a short video call, and note stairs, lifts and anything awkward.

  2. Written plan

You receive a fixed quote with crew size, vehicle, packing materials and the hours we have set aside.

  3. Move day

Floors and door frames protected first, then loading in a set order so unloading follows your room list.

  4. Settle in

Beds rebuilt, boxes in the right rooms, packing waste removed and a final walk-through before we sign off.

Storage

When the dates don't line up

Completion slipping by a week or a fortnight is normal. Rather than rushing the move, your load can sit with us and come back out when the keys are ready.

  • Everything stays wrapped in the containers it was loaded into.
  • An inventory list is issued when the load goes into store.
  • Delivery out is booked as a second, shorter move day.

What's included

In the quote, not added later

These come with every job. Anything outside them is priced up front, in writing, before you agree to anything.

Protective materials

Blankets, covers, straps and floor runners at both properties.

Dismantle and rebuild

Flat-pack furniture, bed frames and wardrobes taken down and put back.

Room labelling

A shared room list so every box lands where you want it.

Appliance handling

Washing machines and fridges secured for transport and set back in place.

Waste taken away

Used cartons and wrapping collected after unpacking, not left in the hallway.

One point of contact

The same coordinator from survey through to the final walk-through.

Questions

Before you book

The things people ask us most often, answered plainly.

How much notice do you need?

Two to three weeks is comfortable for a full house, and a few days is often enough for a small flat or a single-van job. If your completion date is still moving, tell us the window and we will hold provisional dates.

Can you move pianos, safes or large plants?

Usually, but not by surprise. Awkward and heavy items need the right crew size and equipment, so mention them at survey stage and they will be scoped and priced into the written quote.

What happens if there is nowhere to park?

We check access at both ends during the survey. Where a vehicle cannot get close, we plan a longer carry or a smaller shuttle vehicle in advance and account for the extra time in the quote rather than on the day.

Do we have to pack ourselves?

Only if you want to. Many people pack their own books and clothes and leave the kitchen, glassware and artwork to us. Partial packing is priced by the rooms you hand over.

How accurate is the quote?

Fixed, as long as the inventory and access match what we surveyed. If the job genuinely changes — an extra room of contents, a different property — we tell you what that costs before we start, not after.

Tell us about the move

A few details are enough to price most jobs. We will come back with a written quote, or a suggested survey time if the move is large enough to need one.

Not sure of your date yet? Send the enquiry anyway with your best guess — provisional dates are easy to change and it keeps the crew free.

We reply to enquiries the same working day, and we only use these details to price and plan your move.
